About Me
I am an international inclusive development specialist with over a decade of experience working in education, health, and social systems. I most recently served as an Inclusive Education Advisor at USAID, where I led strategic initiatives to integrate inclusive education into agency policies, developed staff training programs, and managed multi-million-dollar projects to drive systemic change.
Previously, I held leadership roles at Special Olympics, where I secured over $25 million in funding for inclusive youth programs, managed global partnerships, and spearheaded innovative initiatives. My expertise spans strategy development, program management, government relations, and cross-sector collaboration, with a focus on Universal Design for Learning and accessibility in education.
With experience spanning the U.S. government, international NGOs, and grassroots organizations across Africa, Asia, and Europe, I bring a global perspective to fostering inclusive learning environments. I am a former Fulbright Student Fellow in China, George J. Mitchell Scholar at Trinity College Dublin, and a University of Pennsylvania graduate.
I bring a deep commitment to inclusion because of my family. My younger sister is autistic and has intellectual disability and my mother is a special education teacher. My combination of personal background, academic training, and professional experience has helped me connect with, learn from, and contribute to collaborative efforts to ensure that all people - regardless of ability or background - have access to opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.
